The Prospect of Future Teacher Education: Towards FUTURE Literacy Oriented Approach to Teacher Education

  • Our nation announced the document "Chinese Education Modernization 2035" which emphasizes the elements of quality, teachers' morality, professionalism and lifelong learning. This paper proposes proposes a FUTURE literacy-oriented approach to teacher education through literature review. This approach aims to construct a teacher education landscape that highlights flexibility, transnational and cross-sector collaboration, and emphasizes twenty-first century skills or core competencies as well as research-based, reflective and experiential learning.
