The Journal of Modern Education is a comprehensive educational academic journal that published domestically and internationally. It is supervised by South China Normal University and sponsored by Guangdong Institute of Educational Science. The Journal was founded in 1980, and was selected into the "A Guide to the Core Journal of China" in 1996 and 2000. It is now listed in various important journal indexes, including: "A Journal (extended)" of "Comprehensive Evaluation of Chinese Journals of Humanities and Social Science in 2018", "Database of Chinese Core Journals (selection)", and "Annual Report on Impact Factors of Chinese Academic Journals". Its full-texts are also included in the "Chinese Academic Journal Network".
The Journal of Modern Education is run according to law and regulations. It is oriented towards the world, the future and modernization. It seeks to solve the questions at the forefront of educational theory and confront the specific problems in educational practices. The Journal pursues true knowledge and encourages debates. It sets its foundation in China, but takes authors and readers both at home and abroad as fellows to open up a new ground for educational research.
