Research on Well-being of Private Primary and Secondary School Teachers in Shenzhen

  • This paper adopts the methods of interview and questionnaire survey to study the well-being of the private teachers in primary and middle schools with Shenzhen as a case.The results show that the well-being level of the private primary and secondary school teachers in Shenzhen is in the middle level and lower than that of the public school teachers. Female teachers are significantly happier than male. Housing problem has become the primary concern of private teachers in Shenzhen. In order to improve the happiness of private primary and secondary school teachers in shenzhen, it is necessary to guide teachers to take the initiative in self-regulation, create a comfortable, acceptable and inspiring cultural atmosphere, increase publicity efforts to improve parents’ recognition of private schools, and as far as possible to reduce the pressure of private teachers to buy houses.
