Gert Biesta, ZHAO Kang
2022, (6): 5-15.
Abstract(924) PDF(83)
Abstract:
This article is based on an interview with Professor Gert Biesta around four themes:educational research, education as an academic discipline and educational theory as well as his new exploration of subjectifying education. Biesta argues that educational research merely focusing on effectiveness is too narrow, and the evidence-based educational research and practice is problematic, and all this is due to the misunderstanding of the dynamics of education. Then, Biesta defends the intellectual integrity of education as an academic discipline. After this he highlights the importance of theorizing education from the perspective of educators, and interprets his own theories. Finally, Biesta articulates his recent educational thought "the world-centered education", with a focus on showing how subjectifying education happens in this kind of education and hence finds its position in it. The article offers a range of critical reflections on current educational research, education as an academic discipline and educational theory, and demonstrates a new educational view that makes subjectifying education occur.

2022, (6): 21-28.
Abstract(323) PDF(21)
Abstract:
In the early stages of his research, Japanese scholar Tokuo Kataoka focused on the sociology of the classroom, and his theory and practice of classroom collective building is rich in ideas that advocate individual awakening and growth. Kataoka has always shown a strong concern and systematic thinking about the emotional issues related to individual awakening and growth, and this gesture or spirit was further developed and even enhanced in his later research on the sociology of literary education. In particular, Kataoka's focus on the representation of parent-child concepts of parent-child relationships in classical opera has opened a wealth of analytical possibilities for objects and materials that were previously difficult to access in educational studies, allowing for a more expansive and multifaceted approach to thinking about education and human growth.

2022, (6): 29-36.
Abstract(373) PDF(37)
Abstract:
Phenomenology of education continues two ways of phenomenological dealing with the world:first, education of will promoted by subjectivist phenomenology; second, education of love emerging from non-subjectivist phenomenology or non-objective phenomenology. The subjectivist phenomenology points to competitive education of the will; the non-subjectivist phenomenology points to cooperative education of love. The reality of society and the real growth of children require both education of love and education of will. The complete education is the education of love and will. Love and will are the core of respect for virtue and the key to Taoism.

Abstract(462) PDF(35)
Abstract:
Using information technology to expand the coverage of good education resources is an important breakthrough to realize the high-quality development of rural education. Improving the information literacy of rural students is the key to better play the role of information technology. In order to explore the current situation and influence mechanism of rural students' information literacy, this study selected 26558 rural students of compulsory education, 453 rural information technology teachers and 3096 parents from a province in south China for questionnaire survey, Using the mediating effect analysis method to construct the influencing factor model of rural students' information literacy and the network analysis method was used to explore the interaction mechanism between the influencing factors and information literacy. The results show a low level of rural students' information literacy and insufficient motivation for learning information technology. The weak understanding of the value of information technology mainly limits the improvement of rural students' information literacy. Besides, teachers' low level of information technology and difficulties in using information equipment are constraints to students' information literacy. To improve the information literacy of rural students, efforts should be made in the following three aspects:enhance information technology service support and improve the using efficiency of equipment, enhance the practical efficiency of teacher training and give full play to the exemplary and leading role of excellent teachers, optimize the teaching content of information technology, and improve the cultivation effect of information literacy.

2022, (6): 48-59.
Abstract(308) PDF(70)
Abstract:
The influence of emotional design on multimedia learning has become a research hotspot in the field of multimedia learning, but the results are still inconsistent and the moderating variables need to be further explored. This study explored the moderating effect of learners' cognitive style on the effect of dual emotional design. The results shows that: (1) Neither color nor positive emotion text induces positive emotions of learners. (2) In terms of retention performance, when emotional design is non-color positive text, the performance of verbal subjects is significantly higher than that of visual subjects. When the emotional design is color neutral text, the retention performance of the visual subjects is higher than that of the verbal subjects. (3) The results of the dwell time of the text area data show that when the emotional design is non-color positive text, the verbal subjects are significantly longer than the visual subjects; when the emotional design is color neutral text, the visual subjects are longer than verbal subjects.

2022, (6): 60-74.
Abstract(495) PDF(23)
Abstract:
Based on the 2014-2015 China Education Panel Survey (CEPS) data, the study explores the impact and mechanism of parental involvement on the non-cognitive skills of middle school students. The study found that parental involvement (cognitive involvement, behavioral involvement, emotional involvement, supervisory involvement) has a significant positive impact on non-cognitive skills. That is, parental involvement can promote the development of non-cognitive skills of middle school students, and this research conclusion is replacing. The dependent variable method and the application of instrumental variable method have sufficient reliability after robustness tests. Furthermore, the introduction of middle school students' testing of the moderating effect of parents' involvement in stress perception found that perception of stress has a significant negative moderating effect on the relationship between parental involvement (cognitive involvement, behavioral involvement, supervisory involvement) and non-cognitive skills. That is, as the perception of stress increases, parental involvement impact is reduced. The research conclusions of the article are of practical significance to the in-depth understanding of parental participation on the overall development of adolescents' healthy personality under the background of focusing on "family education". At the same time, it is helpful for academics and practice departments to better analyze the impact of middle school students' non-cognitive skills factor.

2022, (6): 94-106.
Abstract(490) PDF(86)
Abstract:
Based on the comprehensive social survey data in China, the "diploma effect method" is used to empirically study the diploma effect of higher education in China and its heterogeneity in different generations and income groups. The study found that:(1) Higher education diploma significantly positive impact income, can bring 39. 65% of the additional income to individuals, there is a higher education diploma effect in the labor market. (2) The contribution of higher education diplomas to individual income has some generational heterogeneity, taking the post-60s as a reference group, the post-70s and post-80s higher education diploma effects were reduced by 4. 11% and 3. 92% respectively, but they were not significant, and the post-90s higher education diploma effects were significantly reduced by 21. 26%. (3) In terms of income heterogeneity, the effect of higher education diplomas shows a trend of "first slowly increasing, then slightly decreasing, and then increasing rapidly", and the signal value of higher education diplomas is more obvious in high-income groups. The heterogeneous impact of the diploma effect on income is no longer manifested as an "U-shape" trend in the rate of return on education, and also reflects the complexity of the relationship between education and income.
