SUN Gangcheng, WEN Shasha
2020, (6): 2-10.
Abstract(623) PDF(1628)
Abstract:
Teacher is an important foundation of rural primary schools. However, currently rural primary schools are generally unable to recruit and retain excellent teachers, which constrains the development of these schools. Under the background of the poverty alleviation campaign and the progression of educational modernization, this paper examines the dilemmas of being unable to attract and retain outstanding teachers in rural primary schools, as well as teachers' inadequate interdisciplinary teaching ability and low recognition. It argues that the state should support teacher training universities to strengthen their interdisciplinary comprehensive teaching ability by improving relevant policies, training programs and practical mechanisms of directional training of free general subject teachers for remote and poverty-stricken rural areas. The state should also cultivate the local identity consciousness of students through several phases of local training and select candidates of rural primary school teachers with a passion for the country and education, who have the motivation to stay and to contribute to the development of rural primary education.

JIA Yonghong, Zhang Xiaoyun
2020, (6): 11-17.
Abstract(771) PDF(269)
Abstract:
Based on qualitative interviews with 15 rural teachers and 10 parents of left-behind children, this study reveals several dilemmas in the home-school cooperation for left-behind children in rural areas, including:lack of guardians' educational involvement; inefficient cooperation methods; poor home-school communication. The underlying reasons for these dilemmas are the isolation of time and space, guardians' deficit understanding of home-school cooperation, guardians' insufficient ability of home-school cooperation, and the ambiguity of the boundaries of subject's responsibility. In order to optimize the home-school cooperation for left-behind children in rural areas, it is worth to promote information technology to alleviate the dilemma of space-time isolation and to improve the enthusiasm and comprehensive quality of home-school cooperation subjects.

ZHAO Dan, ZHAO Kuo
2020, (6): 18-23.
Abstract(585) PDF(53)
Abstract:
In the new era of high-quality and balanced development of compulsory education, improving the quality of small rural school education is the key to making up for the shortcomings of rural education and ensuring that children in remote rural areas receive high-quality education. Based on this theory, the study analyzes the quality dilemma of small-scale schools from the three dimensions of school supporting input, educational process and educational output, including:enrollments from poor families; insufficient community support; shortage of educational resources; uneven leadership levels of principals; low level of campus cultural construction; single method of teaching; student with poor academic performance and poor self-esteem. Recognizing the practical dilemmas, governments at all levels should increase investment in educational resources, incorporate hidden factors of education quality into the evaluation system, activate the advantages of small-scale schools, promote school-community cooperation and high-quality resource sharing, and comprehensively improve the quality of small-scale school education.

2020, (6): 24-29.
Abstract(518) PDF(133)
Abstract:
For the first time, the unified compilation of Chinese Language textbook has set up the unit of writing exercise that is writing -oriented and reading -for -writing. Teachers should take the idea of dual -line organization unit structure as the guiding principle and implement it creatively on the basis of deep understanding of the textbook. The first unit of writing exercise at primary school level starts from unit 5, volume 1, grade 3. From this case, it is not difficult to find that teachers need to comprehensively apply various theories and measures, such as task-driven reading and writing, picture book instruction. They also need to have a comprehensive and systematic understanding of the unit theme and language elements of each year of primary school, as well as the sequence of their development. Moreover, teachers need to consider the six parts of the unit of writing exercise as a coherent whole, and design the teaching scheme, so as to achieve the comprehensive goal of integrating reading and writing as a whole.
University Students' Perception of General Elective Courses: An Analysis Based on Metaphors
GAO Wei, WU Xiuxia
2020, (6): 30-39.
Abstract(415) PDF(13)
Abstract:
In order to understand university students' perception of general elective courses, the authors guide students to create three metaphors based on their experiences and feelings:what general elective courses are like, what the teachers of general elective courses are like and what the students of general elective courses are like. The authors ask students to give explanations of their metaphors, so as to put forward their own understanding of general elective courses. The analysis result shows that the metaphors created by students are cognitive, diverse and systematic. Students mainly focus on the function of the courses to acquire knowledge and expand their vision, the richness of course type and content, teachers' professional competence and the teaching process and students' personal characteristics, their needs and learning process, etc. At the same time, the result also reflects the following problems, such as inadequate supply of high-quality courses, the weakness of some teachers' professional competence and insufficient participation of students in the courses.

2020, (6): 53-63,71.
Abstract(719) PDF(266)
Abstract:
To understand the status of mental health of college students during the epidemic, we randomly selected 427 college undergraduates in Guangdong province, and used Self Rated Health Measurement Scale 1. 0 (SRHMS 1. 0), Self -rating Depression Scale (SDS), Self -rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), Coping Styles Questionnaire to measure their mental health, depression, anxiety, and coping styles. The results showed that the overall health, physical health, mental health and social health of college students were lower than the norm of Guangdong province, and the scores of anxiety and depression were significantly higher than the national norm during epidemic. Gender, major, grade, cognition and attitude towards the epidemic situation, coping style and other factors have obvious influence on mental health. It can be seen that the current mental health education should pay attention to the impact of major public safety incidents on the mental health of college students, and strengthen the intervention measures to improve the mental health of college students.

2020, (6): 72-77.
Abstract(717) PDF(32)
Abstract:
The model of Japanese higher education modernization is the typical "backward and exogenous type". This model was developed on the basis of the Modern Binary Hierarchical pyramid system of higher education. It has gone through four stages:modern exploration, post -war transformation, rapid development, and reform and improvement. Different from other backward countries, Japan's modernization process was dominated by the central government, with the characteristics of a combination of from passive reform to active development, Westernization and Japanization. Towards 2040, higher education in Japan pays more attention to the quality of higher education, internationalization, and university-state-local relations. The evolutionary characteristics and trends of Japanese higher education modernization shed light on the modernization of Chinese higher education.
